Literature 9 introduces students to the critical study of literature at the high school level. This course aims to acquaint students with the terminology associated with literature study and develop students’ reading and writing skills while engaging them in the critical study of a wide selection of literature. Students will read and respond to a variety of pieces of poetry and short fiction, as well as enter into an extensive study of William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.
