The turtles live in what we call "The pond". The pond has a circulating pump that runs the water through a biological filter. In the photos you can see a green tote, in the tote you can find the biological filter. The filter is a polyester fiber padding along with a colonized material made of a craggy surfaced quartz material to trap bacteria. An example of this this material would be : "Eheim Substrat Pro". James and Maddison share The Pond with a gold fish and some guppies.
